A calorie tracker for iPhone
Snap a meal.
That’s it.
Platelight turns a photo into calories and macros in seconds, on your iPhone. It asks one quick question only when it matters. No account. No red numbers.

01 · One photo, logged
In your diary the moment you take the photo.
The analysis catches up while you eat. You get an honest estimate with a range, never false precision, and you can fix anything with a tap or just say it: “I ate half.” Labels, a typed description or your voice work too, and barcodes with Plus.

02 · One quick question
Asked only when it matters. Your best guess already picked.
Some things a photo can’t show, like how much oil went into the pan. Platelight asks once, with the likely answer selected, and the estimate settles. Try it.

03 · It learns you
Every correction becomes your default.
Your usual portions, how much oil you cook with, the milk in your coffee. Platelight remembers, so it asks less over time. Yesterday’s dinner again? One tap.
04 · A plan that adapts
A week of meals sized to you, tuned from what you actually eat.
Simple recipes and the meals you already make, with a grocery list. Tell it how you eat and train, “vegetarian, training for a half marathon,” and your targets follow, then adjust each week from your log and your trend weight.

05 · Calm progress
A calm trend, not a daily verdict.
The line is your trend. The dots are scale readings, which swing with water. Add a weigh-in from a screenshot of your scale app, a photo of the scale, or by typing. No streaks, no red numbers, no guilt.
A look around
Quiet by design. The food carries the color.

Today, at a glance.
A trend, not a verdict.
A plan that learns from your week.
Meals planned around you.
And after dark.
06 · Private by design
Your meals are analyzed on your iPhone. We never see them.
Apple’s on-device model does the work. There is no account, no ads and no tracking. Your log syncs through your own iCloud, so it’s on all your devices and comes back on a new iPhone. Platelight has no copy.
Only three things ever leave your iPhone, each one your choice:
A barcode number, with Plus
For a product Platelight doesn’t know yet, looked up in Open Food Facts and Platelight’s own product data. You can turn this off.
A meal your iPhone isn’t sure about
Checked by Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, only if you turn it on.
Meals for Platelight Plus
Only if you subscribe and agree. It asks before any meal leaves your iPhone, and providers keep nothing.
Works with Apple Health, if you want it to. Home and Lock Screen widgets, Siri, the Action button and a Lock Screen camera.
07 · Pay once
$2.99 once
Everything that runs on your iPhone, and iCloud sync, is yours for good. Nothing on the phone is locked behind a subscription. Family Sharing included.
A larger cloud model, and barcodes.
For the things that need servers: every photo, description and correction worked out by a larger model, up to 40 meals a day, and barcode lookups in Open Food Facts and USDA’s product data. It asks before any meal leaves your iPhone. Everything else works without it.
